But Your Emails

Crafting and sending an email to a friend is one of the most intimate acts you can perform on the internet. Receiving a written missive, especially from somebody you haven’t heard from in a while, is just as warming. There’s so much joy wrapped up in good old electronic mail, the medium can’t be dragged down by spam, Slack, HTML formatting, and all of the other evil forces that conspire to crush it. This week, the hosts examine all the places email can take you.

Some notes: David’s story about the people trying to fix your inbox. Recommendations this week: Leuchtturm notebooks, the Ember Ceramic Mug, and Eric Rohmer’s Six Moral Tales.

Send the hosts feedback on their personal Twitter feeds. Arielle Pardes is @pardesoteric, David Pierce is @pierce, and Michael Calore is @snackfight. Bling the main hotline at @GadgetLab. Our theme song is by Solar Keys.
