This week's going to run a little long, but it's because my heart's too big for our usual 2 hour show. Fury In The Slaughterhouse have a new song out in the world, and will be celebrating their 30th anniversary at a concert in Hannover next year, which I am very much considering flying around the world for, even with money as tight as it is.
On this week's show, in addition to Greek hip hop, Argentinian blues rock, Japanese hiphop, French pop, Brazilian techno, Russian alternative and Japanese post-rock (plus our usual heady concoction of music dating back to the 1960s), we talk about musicians losing their hearing and what it means to love something so much you have trouble talking.
It's a bit emotional of a show for me, but I hope you'll understand and indulge me. I tell a fun story about how much technology has changed our love for music, but only in the good way.
As always, if you're interested in supporting the show (or my trying to get to see my favorite band in the world live again), you can help out at http://www.patreon.com/StarlightSociety/ and we thank you, but you're also welcome to just subscribe to the show (via iTunes or whatever podcast subscription device you happen to be using on your phone or computer) and I hope you love this show just even half as much as I love making it.
As Big Chris says in "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels" - "It's been emotional."
