In 1998, Wes Anderson followed up his modest debut film Bottle Rocket with a work of absolute genius: Rushmore. With Rushmore, Anderson demonstrated the unique visual stylings, song choices and storytelling sensibilities that would become regular staples in his work and introduced the world to the wonderful Jason Schwartzman. It also marked the beginning of a long, fruitful collaboration between Anderson and Bill Murray.
