Happy almost 4th of July, everyone! And what's more patriotic than flying some fighter jets, playing some shirtless volleyball and taking the highway to the Danger Zone? In 1986, Top Gun gave us all these things and more and went on to become the highest grossing film of the year. It launched Tom Cruise's career to a whole new level of stardom and, despite mixed reviews, is considered something of a classic.
But is Top Gun deserving of this fame, or are people getting the quality of the film confused with the quality of its soundtrack? Shawn and Sarah sit down for their first ever Top Gun viewing and discuss whether or not it lives up to its reputatio.
