Take 2 Episode 6: Festbier

WOW so much has happened over the last month since our last drop, but we did get a new episode recorded for you wonderful listeners. We must warn you, we did try to do a livestream (unsuccessfully) that may have strained the audio a little, sorry.

Also Daan and his infinite clumsiness spilled an entire beer on the mixing board. Ugh, so again bear with us on the audio. The board has since been rebuilt and is back in functioning order.

So Festbiers, we are late to the party, but we did drink a few good festbiers and have a good conversation about the history, recipe and unique differences between traditional Oktoberfest bier and modern day fest biers.

Traditional Oktoberfest Recipe (All Grain – 10 gallon)  – Elsie’s Marzen (Scott Satterthwaite – NHC 2017 Gold Metal)
