HJRP0905 Happy Jacks RPG Podcast Season 09 Episode 05

Season 09 Episode 05

Your hosts: Stu, Stork and Kimi

The blurb! Email us at happyjacksrpg@gmail.com, participate in our forum at happyjacks.org/forum, follow us on twitter at @happyjackrpg, and listen live on Friday nights at 8:30pm Pacific at happyjacks.org/live. You can also follow Stu @srvenable and Kimi @ladyadeena on Twitter.

My personal apologies to those who were trying to listen live whilst we recorded this episode. The recording process was stoopid with problems. I realize that many of you set aside time to listen live and contribute to the show, and I do not take wasting your time lightly. The issue was identified, and it is my sincerest hope that the problem is fixed.

GThickhead email us that he's going to Gencon for the first time (congratulations), and wants our advice on how to maximize your fun at a game con. Stork and Kimi recount some of their experiences at Comicon and we discuss general ways to manage your convention time. Chris asks us about dark subjects in RPGs.

Bullgod emails us about killing a campaign that's jumped the shark. We get derailed a bit and talk about short campaign lengths, GM hogging and the like.  ThomasWhoDoubts emails us about alternate ways to begin a campaign. And finally, Steve in Texas sends us an extensive email of his gaming history and asks us what other games besides RPGs that we play and enjoy.

Join us next week when we will discuss more about GM dice roll fudging, it's benefits and dangers.
