episode 1: Episode 0: Hello World!

It’s been a long road since Unity’s Unite 2014, when The Debug Log was first conceived in the streets of Seattle. It was at the conference, while surrounded by so many innovative minds, inspiring games, and tools developed for and using the Unity game engine, that the guys decided to give back to the Unity community by creating their very own podcast.

After months of procrastination and five too many test episodes, the guys finally get together to talk about “All things Getting Started.” We all weigh in on how we started in game development, from loading DOS from floppy disks and finding love at first type with text-based gaming to developing smash Indie hits for XNA.

The guys discuss several important Unity features as well as take a moment to answer a question that often rears its head to new developers, “So, I’ve downloaded Unity. Now what?”

We are all super excited to be launching the podcast and hope that this episode, and the ones that follow, all work to strengthen and build the community of Unity developers that we love. Thank you for joining us on this journey and we sincerely hope to hear from each of you personally!
