Let's talk about Creation Records, that titan of British music from 1983 to 1999 that basically was responsible for both the shoegaze movement and bringing Oasis to the masses. How can one label be that diverse? Because of its founder - Alan McGee.
Over nearly three hours, I'm going to walk you through the rise and fall of Creation, cover a bunch of bands you should know as well as a bunch that you've likely never even heard of. Don't feel bad - a lot of them I'd never heard of either, and I like to think I know a decent amount about music.
As this is a scene show, and we're nearing the end of the month, I ran this right up to the maximum amount of show I can do for the month, so I'm taking next week off, and I'll be back in two weeks time.
If you still want a show next week, consider signing up for our Patreon, as there will be a new show there next Monday, which you could have access to (as well as all our old Patreon shows) for just $5 a month. Something to consider.
But for now, let's get into Creation Records with another scene show/deep dive!
