In episode 333 of our weekly electronic music podcast i’m featuring new music from Soulphiction and their new 24 / 7 Love Affair album on Local Talk Records. I will be playing you at least 2 tracks from the album in this weeks selection. Also in this weeks mix selection is the brand new EP from Route 94 – Close on the DFTD label, which is the Defected Records sub label. Our man from Rutilance Recordings DJ Steaw released his debut album on the label about a year ago, called Rise where i chose a few tracks from to play for you. But the man is also back with a brand new EP on the Meta label, called ‘Feel’ which contains three very dope tracks where i will be playing two from in this weeks selection.
Rick Wade – In Mah Mind.
Rick Wade is doing things very nicely on his new ‘In Mah Mind’ EP on Shall Not Fade Records. The EP includes 3 new tracks and one remix on the main title track: In Mah Mind by Harrison BDP. Beyond Paella – theBasement Discos
Next to all of the mentioned artists and music there is much more. Beyond Paella is a new various artists music album compilation on the in Valencia based label theBasement Discos. And includes tracks from Matteo Viti, Etur Usheo, Whatever Charles and many more. The album is a compilation of various deep discofied house sounds that represent the Spanish label.

This week the music style ranges from funky soulful beats and breaks into a bit of Nu Disco and Deep Disco, shortly after the sound will turn into the recognizable House and Deep House sound alternated with deep dreamy atmospheres and rich textures. In my weekly music selection process i stumble on a lot of music that ends up not being played in the weekly music show. Not because the music is not good enough, but just because i have to make decisions based on other tracks, styles, rhythms, harmonies and BPM to just name a few elements. Sometimes i curate over 100 tracks each week and as a frequent listener you know only around 23, 24 tracks end up in the final selection for the music podcast. Therefore i decided to create more music only mixes next to the hosted podcasts. A lot of them can be found here for select subscribers only. But i also started a mix series for my Electronic Music YouTube channel called: Deep House Dreams. Currently the mix serie goes up to 7 parts and can be found in the YouTube playlist below.
The Deep House Dreams mix series contains those dreamy house tracks with less or no vocals, a lot of rich textures and deep flowing atmospheres. Laidback grooves with a steady build-up in temp (BPM) which makes these mixes perfect to learn and study to.
