Ryan Frederick is a Founder and product person at heart. Ryan has had the privilege of being part of starting and growing several software and service companies. He has helped companies grow from inception, to viability, through to sustainability. During the evolution of these companies, Ryan has served on company boards and been instrumental in capitalization activities. He has also helped companies expand to international markets. Ryan combines a unique blend of business acumen and technical knowledge, having originally been a developer who migrated to the business side. He now helps companies build great software products and solve data challenges for competitive advantage as a Principal at the product and data consulting firm, AWH. An active angel investor, Ryan mentors and advises entrepreneurs and start-ups, as well as corporate innovation leaders. He launched a non-profit workforce development program, called i.c.stars, to train under-employed adults on digital skills. Among his many achievements, Ryan helped to launch an organization called BLK hack which is working to plug more black people into the start-up and venture ecosystems. He is also part of a group preparing to launch a Women’s Venture Studio to help more women launch and grow companies, including helping them secure funding from female investors by getting more high-net-worth women to become angel investors. Ryan is proud to be involved in a global organization to help connect, educate, and inspire Founders, called Startup Grind (startupgrind.com).
