episode 37: Episode 37: The Impact Of Betrayal – Interview with Dr. Debi Silber

In Episode 37 of Let’s Talk Wellness Now, Dr. Deb invites Dr. Debi Silber, Holistic Psychologist & Health, Mindset, Empowerment & Development Coach, onto the podcast for an incredible discussion about working through betrayal. Dr. Debi Silber is the founder of The PBT Institute, a teaching/training/coaching/mentoring center, where they help clients heal from physical, mental, emotional and spiritual betrayal. Dr. Debi details her personal experience with betrayal, along with her health journey and the driving forces behind her career path.

Betrayal feels very personal. And there’s all those aspects to the self that need to be rebuilt: self-esteem, confidence… we struggle with a sense of rejection, abandonment, trust – all of those things.

Dr. Debi details the notion of breaking through betrayal, rebuilding yourself and letting go – including topics of post traumatic growth and Post Betrayal Transformation (PBT). Dr. Deb and Dr. Debi discuss the modern, busy woman, and how she often neglects critical areas of her own health and well being.

This is a heart issue. So it’s as if you’re insisting on doing every home improvement project with a hammer – ya know sometimes you need a screwdriver. It’s a whole different way of thinking… if you imagine four legs of a table, the four legs being physical, mental, emotional and spiritual…. there’s a real heavy lean on the physical and the mental, and kind of neglecting the emotional and the spiritual. So what does that look like? It looks like we’re really good at thinking and doing, and not as great at feeling and being.
