Death is at best an uncomfortable subject for most of us.  At worst it's terrifying and the literal stuff of nightmares.  Yet there are those who live, work, and even thrive in this space.  They are the ones who help shepherd us through those dark moments and help orchestrate the details of saying goodbye.  Ryan Ballard is one of those people.  In this conversation he talks about the reality of his work - the highs and the lows, as well as what it takes to do it.  There are a surprising number of laughs, and a lot to learn.  Of course Covid comes up, but there is more talk about shifting cultural sands and even paperwork!
