episode 43: Elly Oldenbourg: Future of Work Expert, Sidepreneur, Manager @ Google

I am really honored to welcome Elly Oldenbourg as my guest! Today’s podcast episode will be about what flexible working models have to do with the future of work.

Elly is a future of work expert, sidepreneur and manager @ Google.

She is a proud Gen Y with an extensive multicultural background, a mother and has been working in marketing & sales for 16+ years in various global corporations.

For the past 9+ years Elly has been a manager at Google, most recently in the EMEA diversity, equity & inclusion department. She has been working part-time in the past 4+ years mainly as a job sharer. As a sidepreneur she is the founder and host of thought-provoking salons, a coach, writer, and speaker.

I really appreciate this quote from Elly’s website www.ellyoldenbourg.com :

“With this „non-linear“ life of mine, I’ve been increasingly invited to talk about on the „Future of Work“ publicly, in which I have been encouraging people to explore new work paradigms, to challenge our structural status quo and to demystify “New Work” beyond the tools and the buzzwords.

I believe we, especially us corporate peeps, need to raise braver demands – not only towards ourselves, but also towards our employers and politicians – regarding the way we work, we economize, we incentivize. To finally address the structural changes required for a more just, a more sustainable and a digitally future-proof tomorrow for everyone.”
