Few professions have been quite as diminished and mocked by pop culture as Flight Attendants. Usually portrayed as comically incompetent, insatiably promiscuous, and dumb - they get the worst of it. Put that together with the well documented racism, sexism, ableism, and body shaming and it's a bit of a mystery how they continue to smile every day. Sherley Altidor is none of the stereotypes. She's smart, capable, and a bada$$ veteran more than capable of taking care of herself and the people on her flights.
