episode 55: Melanie Belitza: Follow Up

Melanie Belitza is the Head of Technical Documentation and Training at an international systems mobility company where she has had a successful career since graduating with a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering 9 years ago.

At the beginning of 2020 she started with an initial one year experiment to lead her team on a part-time basis (4 days a week) and on the fifth day she is following her passion for life-long learning through exploration of concepts about the future of work and networking.

Melanie and I spoke about her experience at the end of 2020 in episode 22. If you missed our conversation here is the link to this previous episode: https://emilyspath.ca/job-sharing-and-beyond-episode-22-melanie-belitza/

Today's episode is a follow up from our conversation and is the audio from our LinkedInLive Conversation today.

Given the current big focus on 4 day work week pilots, experiments and conversations around the world, Melanie shared what she has learned from her experience and shared tips and suggestions for our audience. We also talked about her part time blog parade an initiative where nearly 20 professionals wrote articles about their part time methods and reasons.

Melanie gave a summary of the chapter that she wrote for Doppel[t]spitze's book "Rethinking HR".  I spoke with Doppel[t]spitze a few weeks ago.
