Zappone Controversy And Fresh Covid Guidelines
On Thursday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway and Violet-Anne Wynne TD, Sinn Fein. Katherine Zappone has made the decision not to take the role of Special Envoy to the UN due to criticism over the way she was appointed. She also hosted an event for 50 people at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin which has added to the controversy. There is now fresh advice on numbers permitted at outdoor gatherings under Covid-19 regulations and the Government have appeared to decide that outdoor events of up to 200 people are actually allowed under the current guidelines.
