Foreign Affairs Minister Due Before Oireachtas Committee As Zappone Controversy Continues
On Tuesday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Timmy Dooley, Fianna Fáil Senator from Mountshannon. It comes as Minister Simon Coveney has been questioned over her proposed appointment to a UN role, after it emerged he offered Ms Zappone the job four months before it was agreed by Cabinet. Clare’s Fianna Fáil Senator believes that what should have been a relatively minor issue has been blown into a matter of considerable significance that’s taken attention away from important issues like housing, health and the economy.
