episode 6: It’s a Rebellious Act: Getting Clarity on What We Are Doing in the NPPZ

People Pleasing is so entrenched in our culture that it has become part of the status quo. On many levels, the culture benefits from people-pleasing behaviours. When those of us stuck down what I call The People Pleasing Rabbit Hole, begin to heal ourselves and climb out of this way of being in the world, it is a rebellious act.

It is a challenge to a way of being in the world that is based on DOing; doing what we believe other people need and expect from us. Removing ourselves from The People Pleasing Rabbit Hole shifts perspectives – we start living from a place of BEing – and the things we do in this world come from our BEingness. A culture that judges based on accomplishments is a culture structured on DOing rather than BEing.

And that opens the door to change how we interact with others. It changes how we do relationships and community.

This episode is about articulating clarity on what the No People Pleasing Zone is all about, and claim the act of climbing out of The People Pleasing Rabbit Hole as an act of rebellion.

  • A space where we dive into self-love and challenge even the most subtle aspects of self-hate normalized in our cultures.
  • A space where we strive to respect and value our own opinions over the opinions of others
  •  A space where we reconnect with ourselves, so we can nurture autonomy and sovereignty.
  •  A space where we show up each week to explore perspectives, dance with possibilities; and be inspired and emboldened to Fearlessly Thrive in authentic innate worth.
