episode 10: Self-Empowerment Through Reclamation of Witch with Isabel Lamar and Kirsty Dee
What if embracing the word ‘witch’ releases a kind of internal magic that changes lives? What if self-identifying as a witch could feel empowering? In this episode, we meet with Kirsty Dee and Isabel Lamar, a couple of modern-day witches, to explore how reclaiming the word ‘witch’ has changed everything. The word witch has been used as a slur, attaching stigma to, generally, women. In the past, and still, today in some parts of the world, being identified as a witch was, and is, deadly. Yet, there is a movement of reclamation occurring that brings an experience of empowerment. Three witches reflect on:
· What it means to have reclaimed the word witch
· The biggest challenges in the process of reclaiming witch
· What the biggest surprise or ‘ah ha’ was
· And, how standing in that reclamation looks, and how it reverberates outward in life.
