Not a Pity Party Podcast by Resilience Collective

Not A Pity Party podcast by Resilience Collective overturns the stereotype that those living with mental health conditions are helpless, constantly feeling sorry for themselves, and a victim to their illness. Through this podcast featuring peer voices and stories of discovery, self-empowerment and peer support, we want to inspire hope and courage in our listeners to know that mental health recovery is real. It is possible to exit the pity party and to find new purpose and meaning in the midst of mental health challenges. Through RC’s strong peer community, peers are able to empower each other and foster mental resilience as they navigate their mental health journeys.

episode 2: Managing Anxiety as a High-Functioning, Nature-Loving Polymath - Not A Pity Party Podcast S01E02 - Inch Chua

Trigger warning, this episode contains a reference to losing someone to suicide.  Listener discretion is advised.

We talk about identifying as ugly, creating comfortable bubbles of loneliness, and how to not let your therapist break your heart. Inch Chua tells us what she has control over in her relationship with social media, and why it is important to ‘feed, and feast on a healthy serving of self-loathing’.
