I am very appreciative to welcome as my sixth guest Juanita DeSouza-Huletey PMP!
Juanita DeSouza-Huletey is a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Manitoba. She is an accomplished and dynamic Information Technology Management professional with over 30 years of industry experience, over 25 in leadership positions, most notably being the first female divisional head of the Information Technology Division at Winnipeg Police Service (WPS).
Juanita plays an active role within her community / industry, serving on several committees and boards at the executive/advisory level. As a mentor, coach and speaker she radiates a deep passion for empowering women/girls in STEM, and helps new immigrants integrate successfully into Canadian culture.
In our conversation Juanita will share her remarkable story of first coming to Canada and how this experience has influenced her career journey. She will talk about being a female STEM leader, and the career advice she has for younger professionals. She will also share more of her tips regarding working and successfully immigrating to a foreign country.
