episode 220: Sex Sells - with Taylor Sparks of Organic Lovin'

Tylor Sparks lights up the small business scene with her line of eco-friendly and natural sexy toys, lotions, and lubes! Discover how she created the largest BIPOC black woman-owned business in the United States by taking the chemicals and harmful products out and putting Organic Lovin back in!

Meet Taylor Sparks

Taylor Sparks, “Mariposa,” is a passionate erotic educator and sex goddess certified in holistic aromatherapy and human behavior.  Taylor launched Organic Loven, and her company has become one of the largest BIPOC owned online intimacy shops.  Organic Loven specializes in improving adults’ sexual wellness and enhances sex lives via organic intimate body products, body-safe sex toy materials, sex-positive books, and erotic educational seminars.

The Sexual Toy Niche Taylor Decided to Fill with Her Business

While many of the lubes and lotions were filled with chemicals and the intimate body products were naughty toys, Taylor wanted to create a body-friendly line. Today, Taylor and her team sell over a thousand products and represent over 200 brands shipped worldwide. As a result of her success, Organic Lovin is the largest black-owned online organic intimacy shop in America to date.

Selling Products from Inside Her Community

"We were already traveling in the ethical non-monogamy community, as an open lifestyle couple."

With her background in aromatherapy and organic skincare, she knew that Organic Lovin would go over big with open-minded sex, positive people. "So once I started with the central body massagers, I just looked for other things to sell, but I wanted that same foundation of organic."

Listen in to discover this episode’s takeaways, including:

How she built her non-monogamous lifestyle community
The importance of sex education for her clients
Her spin on selling sex toys and talking about the taboo subject of sex
Using sex as the center of self-improvement
