“If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.” This famous quote is attributed to 20th-century psychologist Abraham Maslow. Also known as the 'law of instrument' or Maslow's Hammer, this phrase describes a person's reliance on a particular tool, method, or mindset, which may prevent him from seeing things clearly.

In this episode, Sharran talks about the practical application of this quote and presents the idea that sometimes one hammer is not enough. So if you've been trying to solve a problem and you're not getting anywhere, think again. Maybe you need three hammers.

"Just because it's a hammer doesn't mean you can use the same hammer for everything. Sometimes you need 3 hammers.”
