This is going to be a great conversation for us to have because so many people that suffer with Lyme disease end up financially broke because a people don’t recognize what their problem is in the beginning. And so they end up seeing, you know, 50,60,100 Doctors at a time, they spend a lot of money out of pocket. They do a lot of therapies that people promise will make them better, and unfortunately, sometimes it doesn’t work. So talking to Catherine today, I’m excited to hear about her five bodies of health roadmap model that she’s created to help people heal from Lyme disease. Well. Catherine is with us today. And we’re going to talk about Lyme and energy and the energetics and epigenetics how they all play a role. So our last couple of episodes that we’ve been doing, have been talking about epigenetics and exercise and individuality. So now we’re going to spread this along some chronic illness and how to heal and so I’m super excited to bring Catherine to you guys today. Welcome to the show.

Catherine Gagnon 4:19
Thank you so much, Dr. Deb for having me on the show today. I’m very excited to to be here with you.

Debra Muth 4:26
Well, welcome. So tell us your journey around Lyme disease.

Catherine Gagnon 4:31
Yes. So it’s, I’m going to try to make it succinct because as you know with chronic illnesses, it can be a long journey. So it was in 2016 that I started to feel very sick, you know tired, probably, you know digestive issues. Deep chills in the middle of summer and heart palpitations pains everywhere. I mean, it goes on and on and on. And I was working as a nurse practitioner back then. And I was, I mean, working in the medical field trying to find some answers, and my colleagues were trying to help me out and things were just not evolving. So I kind of took matters into my own hands and started to study functional medicine. And anytime I’d learned something, I would order some test and some supplements, but we I really didn’t know what I was dealing with. And, and it was really bad after dead like, I felt like there was something eating up in my body. And remember when my doctor said, Well, we did a couple of tests and we can’t find anything. You know, your hemoglobin might be a little bit low sigh But you’re a woman. It’s just stress. Katherine, I said, No. in 36 years of living in this body, it’s never felt like something is eating it up from the inside. So I kind of rolled up my sleeves, and I understood I was buying on my own on this journey. And I thought, wow, okay. I didn’t come this far to, to die, basically, because that’s how it felt. And I research research research did a lot of studying despite my declining health, and it took me eight months to find the diagnosis that it was actually Lyme disease. And then just through my research, I was able to kind of track back to when I acquired it, which was 16 years prior to this flare up, which was when I was 20 years old, traveling in Australia, backpacking, I was not even yet a nurse yet. And, and I remember having this little bug here that wouldn’t leave when I’m, you know, swishing it away. And I was like, Oh, my gosh, the legs are like, I panicked, and I took it out. And I had all the signs and symptoms of the primary infections of Lyme disease. And you know, the flu like symptoms, fatigue, and even some weird anxiety, panic stuff. And then, incidentally, or serendipitously, a couple of weeks after I got, or months, after I got bitten, I traveled to Thailand. And the prophylactic medication for malaria was doxycycline, at the time, once a day, but the treatment for acute Lyme in the conventional medicine is Doxycycline, twice a day. So it’s like, I got half treated for a month. And I remember bouncing back and Thailand, I was like, Man is the best time of my life and feeling great. My energy is back anyways. But all in all, in my 20’s, I remember having kind of low grade symptoms coming through, you know, fatigue, pains, headaches, brain fog, that, you know, when you’re in your 20’s, you shouldn’t get that and I was always a very active and very sporty person. I mean, I’ve been a hang glider pilot for 15 years, and that, you know, you need some muscles and some kind of oomph to do that. So in 2016, when I found out what it was, and then kind of put two and two together, the where, where it came from, I did some extensive research, and I knew from being a prescriber of, you know, conventional medication that I didn’t want to put antibiotics in my body, because I knew that 70% of my immune system is in my gut. So I didn’t want to shoot myself in the foot by eradicating the good, you know, soldiers kind of, you know, in the gut. And I went completely natural with plants, medicinal plants, and natural supplements that have research to back their efficacy and their safety. Because I’m, you know, I’m a scientist, so, and I put together this really comprehensive protocol. And at the same time, I was learning some advanced techniques in my coaching programs, which were working on releasing emotional blocks, traumas from the past. And so I kind of really put it all together. And within four months, I regained 80% of my normal, and within, I would say, seven months, I was able to go back, flying my hang glider, which is kind of unheard of in the Chronic Lyme world. And I sought some help here and there, just kind of for some different elements, but really, I was the one kind of putting it all together. And it’s been a fascinating journey, Dr. Deb, and I’ve been helping other people with the combination of this protocol and neuroscience based coaching to recover their health in their life.

Catherine Gagnon 9:33
Since 2017, actually, so it’s been quite a journey and yeah, it’s successful story.

Debra Muth 9:41
Well, I’m so glad that you figured out what was going on with you. And unfortunately, you had to be your own scientist. Your story is very similar to mine. I got sick with Lyme. Gosh, I think it was who 2005 Maybe I had just had my, my third child and had been camping had a tick embedded. I was working at a residency clinic as a nurse practitioner and OB GYNE and I remember saying to the residents like, oh my god, I just pulled this tick out of me. It looks like it’s been here all weekend when I was camping, do you think I need to worry? And they were like, Nah, don’t worry about it, it’s fine. And a few months after that, I started not feeling well. And doing my own research, I said, I’m going to go see my primary. And I know I’m coming out with one of two diagnoses, I either have MS or they’re going to diagnose me with Fibromyalgia. And I came out with a Fibromyalgia diagnosis, prescription for narcotics and a prescription for antidepressants. And I was sent on my way. And at the time, nobody ever said, hey, it’s August here, it’s 90 degrees. Why do you have a long sleeve shirt a fleece sweater on? And why is your body temperature 95. They just kept saying something’s wrong with this thermometer. And I just kept getting pushed off. And like you, I had to go out and find my own answers for why I was sick, so I could recover and be be the person I am today, too. So I’m so glad that you’ve done that. Because it sounds like you’ve created a really nice protocol and program for people who can’t or don’t want to use the quote unquote, traditional or conventional treatment of antibiotics. So tell us a little bit more about that.

Catherine Gagnon 11:27
Yes, well, first of all, I’m so glad that you also figured it out. And that you also got yourself out of this illness because I I know, you know, firsthand, when we’ve walked in somebody else’s shoes, then we can appreciate the journey of what they went through. So the protocol that I’ve created was I was just pulling from all of the experts in Lyme disease, you know, books, articles, webinars, whatever I could. And I remember thinking to myself, Okay, my brain is a little bit, you know, brain fog and confused, so I need to put things in categories. And by doing that, it really helped me to figure out six essential pillars to heal from Lyme disease, but really, from any chronic illness, you know, and those six pillars are to obviously take some money microbials things that are going to wipe out the microorganisms that are invading the body, whether it’s conventional antibiotics, or medicinal herbs or a combination of both. The second one is to second pillar is to reduce inflammation by reduction of the cytokine cascade, which we talked a lot about COVID, which is why a lot of people with severe lung disease have have had literally their lungs melted by the cytokine storm, right? So right, inflammation is a defense mechanism of the body, but in too much of a dose, it’s not good. So we want to reduce the cytokines inflammation cascade, we want to the third pillar is immuno modulation. So helping the immune system to modulate itself to get a little bit less hyperactive in areas where it’s kind of losing control there or, and a little bit more active in areas where it’s been sleepy a bit, you know, it’s just waking it up. So immunomodulation the fourth pillar is supporting the Mitochondria and the Adrenals which are our power plants, you know, to to create and supply with our energy with everything we need to conduct our daily life whether it’s just a contract the muscle to comb our hair, or to you know, run after the bus or whatever we need to do. So that’s the fourth pillar, the fifth pillar is a daily detox because when we’re going after pathogens and killing them, we need to be able to the body needs to be able to get rid of these, you know, toxin, it’s like you don’t want the garbage can to sit in your house because it’s going to stink, but then by putting it to the street, you want the garbage truck to come by so opening all the detox channels to make sure that the the toxins are leaving the body and making space for the sixth pillar, which is repairing and regenerating tissues that have been damaged in the in the fight against Lyme. So these are the six pillars that I have found to be essential from all of my research and personal you know, experience and professional with my clients. And achieving the six pillars are obviously through diet. When you get sick with Lyme you’re dealt with a no choice change your diet remove the junk because you’re getting nowhere. Yeah, so diet supplements of course, you know plants removing toxins from The environment, whether it’s, you know, cleaner air cleaner water, cleaner food, and removing electromagnetic frequencies, you know, bad frequencies, not the good ones from the earth. And the big component to address the six pillars, which is where epigenetics and psychoneuroimmunology comes in, is to better manage our stress and emotions. And and you know, Dr. Deb stress has, you know, we say always stress Oh, it’s stress always. But yeah, it does. It really does matter. And, and one of the things that I’ve loved doing with with people is what I call emotional alchemy.

Catherine Gagnon 15:47
And emotional alchemy is basically using I use a lot of neuro linguistic programming, and kind of quantum physics to bring in together a transformational coaching method. But emotional alchemy is taking, you know, those dance emotions like sadness, like anger, resentment, guilt, shame, these emotions, we can feel they have like this dense energy, they’re dragging us down. And out, combining these energies, these emotions, so that instead of dragging the person down, they become a lever of force, an asset to bring them towards their goal of health. And it becomes the golden treasure, if you will, so or the light, you know. So this hat, I have found to be one of the most important aspect, in in the protocol, people could take the best products, the best things ever, if their minds are clouded clutter cluttered with negative emotions, negative thoughts, negative beliefs, they’re not going to make much forward progress. And I’m sure you, you’re probably seeing that firsthand in your clinic as well.

Debra Muth 17:00
Absolutely. I have one of my clients who also now has become a coach, because she’s gotten so much better. But she will tell people like I did what I was supposed to, I took my supplements, I did all of that. But what she will admit is that she didn’t get better. And she did until she did the hard work herself. And that was changing her diet, changing her mindset, changing her lifestyle. That’s when finally everything else that we were doing over here to give her the support and the antimicrobials and all of that actually did what it was supposed to do when she did her part. And it’s so true. But we don’t think about that. Because we’ve been raised in a society where I’m going to give you this pill, you’re not going to have to change anything else, and you’ll be better.

Catherine Gagnon 17:46
Yeah. Which if it had to work, it would have worked a long time ago.

Debra Muth 17:53
It is so true, we wouldn’t have drugs for drugs for side effects for drugs for side effects that we keep on going on and on and on. You know, so there does have to be some significant change put into somebody’s program in order for them to actually get better.

Catherine Gagnon 18:10
Absolutely. I have to say, Dr. Deb, that one of the biggest change that I’ve had to make in order to regain my health was to quit my nurse practitioner job. And that was the most difficult decision of my life. Because, you know, we studied Graduate Studies master level, I had patients colleagues have a stable job and yet, something in me like my soul was saying, You’re not thriving in this paradigm, you need something that is more all inclusive, you know, and yeah, and so my soul, I call it my soul was telling me, You’re gonna have to quit this nurse practitioner job. And I’m like, going like. Argue with I argued that for four months. And then when I finally saw that my coaching business was just taking off, not necessarily with lying, but just I could, you know, make a living. And that was when I was sick. So I was like, Wow, imagine when I’m no longer sacred role to create. And then I said, Okay, I’m going to take this big leap of faith and leave a situation that was no longer aligned with my essence. It was no longer aligned with my principles. I felt, I felt in contradiction. I was prescribing pills for conditions that I knew were preventable and reversible with the right lifestyle, mindset food, you know, and it was kind of taking my guts and going like, and so I knew that staying there was was keeping me in the illness and actually the role of the illness had been to show me where I was not living in alignment with my true nature. So I had to, or didn’t have to, but I listened to my soul to quit my nurse practitioner. her job. I knew the relationship I was in at the time. It was a great person, but it was just no longer aligned for my path for me. I knew that was the next thing. So I told my soul I said, okay, one divorce at a time, please not. Yes, right over. But this is what every time I make this, I made this leap of faith to align with my true essence to release what was holding me back, I had quantum leaps of healing, like I was feeling the energy literally coming back, like, wow, last week, I was not able to do this. Now I’m able to bike 25 kilometers, you know, in Canada. So I was like, wow, and I was making these quantum jumps and healing. My body was like giving me this amazing feedback of, yes, that’s what we want. Yes, keep going. Even if it was really scary at times, you know, is Yeah, jumping in the unknown? So?

Debra Muth 20:56
Well, I’m so glad that you’ve done that. Because now we have you teaching all of this wonderful stuff about healing chronic illness. Can we transition into Can you tell us a little bit about what energy leaks are?

Catherine Gagnon 21:10
Oh yes. So. And this work came from, you know, being so sick with Lyme and having literally no energy, which I had always always been such an energetic person. So I remember being a coach and thinking about like, wow, when we have energy, when we feel good, we do good. And we were so motivated. And, you know, we, we go after a goals and things like that. So I came up with this equation. In my mind, I was on my bike one day thinking, what is it that I’m really doing with energy, and I had to bring it back to science. And I thought, okay, I had this aha moment of, oh, energy, your total level of energy that you feel in your body in your, you know, in your emotions, in your in your psychology is, is, you take what you do to generate energy. And I have this equation on my website, when people opt into my email community, they get emailed automatically, this energy equation, it’s really nice to see it on a table. So basically, it’s how we generate energy added to how we invest energy in ways that bring you a bigger return on investment, just like money, you know, think about a project that you feel so passionate about, you invest energy, and you get a lot of energy back from it. And then divided by the energy leaks, and this is where my specialty lies, in the energy leaks is all the subtle things that literally, if if we could have like a scanner, showing, you know, somebody is leaking their energy, just like, you know, in my days of working er, you know, as a nurse in a trauma center when somebody is coming in and arteries, like you know, yeah, speaking, you want to plug that, in some examples of energy leaks are, you know, people pleasing, saying yes to people or circumstances, but really, in your heart, it says no, and you’re kind of walking all over yourself, having no boundaries, putting other people’s needs first before your own and getting yourself kind of sick. It’s comparing yourself with other people and feeling inferior. It’s the imposter syndrome of who am I to, you know, to do this, or maybe if they really find out who I am, they’re gonna leave me. It’s the dark emotions. I mean, dark not necessarily negative, but dense emotions, like carrying some shame, you know, hiding stuff, carrying some guilt around a situation or some resentment, all of these things that sign the eat away at your energy. And I call that energy leaks. Because for me, I can literally see them in the physiology of the person. It’s very subtle. I can hear them in the language that they’re saying, you know, when people are saying things like, Oh, this is killing me. You know, literally the language is telling me that wow, they have a lot of leaks in that situation. And I can feel the energy leaks also and I can it’s hard to explain and this might have just been the the gift I’ve always had as a child you know, and very intuitive and as a nurse and now as a coach is that is that sense of where that person’s energy is leaking in sometimes, most times it’s subconscious. It’s in their beliefs and and and how they’re portraying themselves into the world. Oh, um, you know, have you heard people say I’m just a nurse or a housewife.

Catherine Gagnon 24:53
Yeah, I’m just a housewife. I’m so sorry to disturb you. I don’t want to take up your time or you know, it’s it’s people Who are showing up in disempowered states, and disempowered states lowers a person’s energy or vibe, you know, we can, we can tell when somebody’s vibe is blowing. And you know, they just change the temperature in the room when they get here versus when somebody is vibe is contracted and kind of dark, will illness, guess what illness will have an easier time settling into a body that has a contracted low vibration, which is fostered by energy leaks. Does that make sense?

Debra Muth 25:36
That makes perfect sense. And, and from a practitioner side, I see this all the time is that physically, we can heal the person, but emotionally and mentally, they’re always worried that this is going to come back, even though they’re feeling good. They’re constantly worried about when that rug is going to get pulled out from under them. And they’re going to be right back to being in bed and being sick and not being able to get up. So instead of having the opportunity to enjoy their health and feeling good, they’re stuck over here, still constantly worried about it. And it doesn’t take long for them to end up back in the place where they were before when they feel like that, you know, it’s kind of like the law of attraction. We’ve all seen that and heard about that is what we think about is what we become. So this is a very similar concept. But but I’m sure you described it so well, because we can see that in so many people around us. How does one first recognize they have these leaks and realize that they can be a problem in their health? And then how do we fix them?

Catherine Gagnon 26:43
Yes, I love these questions. Dr. Deb and and the the analogy. It’s not analogy. It’s the situation that you know, physically, they’re doing better. But mentally, if they haven’t done the mindset work, the mindset will take them back into the illness. You know. So some of the things that I recommend people to examine is is really awareness on a healing path. Awareness is really the first step. And it’s to ask yourself, what are some of the things that you’re tolerating some of the things that you’re tolerating in your life, some of the things that if this was different than what, you know that and it’s hard to do it when we’re constantly on the go and moving and paying the bills, and working and the kids and all that. But it’s also observing your thoughts, what are your thoughts first thing in the morning, and the last thing at night, and there’s a good chance that they are recurrent. So the same thoughts, you know, over and over, because we know from studies, neuro neuroscience studies that 90% of our thoughts are recurrent day after day, and 70% of them are negative until we become aware and choose to transform them. So transformation is the second step to healing awareness transformation to bring back the person that wholeness wholeness in their physical and emotional well being so that their mindset is no longer focused on the what if it comes back, but instead it’s focused on okay, how can I continue to expand from here and kind of continue growing from there? So I would say really, definitely awareness, and maybe ask people around you, you know, what do you notice me saying or worrying about because sometimes we can talk about things that we have, you know, going on, but we don’t necessarily realize that we’re constantly doing it. And the people in around us can be like, oh, yeah, remember, you know, that event with your mother in law. And that didn’t go so well? Well, you keep talking about this thing all the time. So that’s a cue that it would be an energy leak, because it’s time you back to the past to that event, it’s asking to be removed.

Debra Muth 29:17
So once a person recognizes that they have some of these energy links, what does a practitioner like you do to help them get over this? How does that how does that session look for them?

Catherine Gagnon 29:31
Yeah, I love this question. Coaching is more experienced than explained, but the best way I would explain it is before we transform something before we get rid of it, you know, quote, unquote, is we got to appreciate the role that it’s played in our life because if it didn’t bring us something, in the positive intention, even subconsciously, it wouldn’t be there in the first place. Like for example, the illness that I’ve seen, you know, in myself In a lot of my clients, it was a lot of people who had trouble setting their own boundaries and saying no. So in a way the illness was setting the boundaries for them. It’s like, No, I can’t do that, because you know, I’m sick because I can do this. And as long as the person hasn’t learned to set their own boundaries, the illness will stay there. So, so we recognize, well, one of the positive intention of this illness, for example, was to, to, to see that you could say no, and the other person would be able to figure it out, they would still love you, they would still be around you. And and that illness was allowing you to put a boundary. So it’s like appreciating the positive role that this thing has had in their life, it’s like, life happens for us, not to us. And, and when we’re on the side of life happens to me, and I’m a victim of my circumstances, no transformation can happen on the cause side of on the effects side of the equation, which is the victim role. So we got to appreciate how this thing came into our life for a reason. So we bring ourselves back to cause taking responsibility for our life. And then the transformation of that I mean, I have so many different sequences, and depending on how the person is presenting and what they mean. But we’ll we will literally reprogram the nervous system with the senses. Because let’s say we take a belief, a belief of, I’ll never get through this, for example, this is everything that we have either a memory or ability, you know, a belief that I’ll never get through. This is imprinted in our senses, it’s got an image, a sound, a feeling associated to it, you know, like if we think about, think about the first car that you drove, you immediately have an image, maybe the sound of the engine, or the feeling your head behind the wheel, it’s the same thing with all the beliefs that we have. So one of the techniques that I use is elicit how this belief is encoded into the nervous system. And then we recode this belief, with a belief that used to be true, but no longer is so that beliefs becomes not true, it becomes deactivated in the person. The Is that does that make sense?

Debra Muth 32:31
That makes perfect sense. And and it takes me to a different place. And I don’t want to go too far off topic. But I wonder if this could be used not only for illness, but can it be used for people that find the same patterns happening to them. For instance, if you have somebody who is always losing money, they’re they’re investing at the wrong time. They’re investing in the wrong things and they lose their money or they’re afraid to get money, you know, can you reprogram them so that they don’t have this fear or negativity around money as well as illness because so many people are afraid that they’re going to lose everything they have, or people who have lost a lot in the industry over time now, they don’t have enough to take care of themselves, can we reprogram thoughts and things like that, as well?

Catherine Gagnon 33:18
Totally, totally. And most things, most programmings and beliefs that we have, are based on the programming that we’ve had from our family of origin or from our caregivers, within the first five, six years of our life. And, and that’s why these programs are running subconsciously. Because back then we were a baby a toddler and child, we didn’t have the cognitive ability to decipher Oh, no, this is not true, then you know, you have, you have to sacrifice all of your health to get money, for example, you know, so I would definitely examine what the beliefs are with the person. And there’s a way to unpack the subconscious beliefs in a very kind of surgical way, in a way to extract these. And then we go back to where the belief got imprinted originally, to make a different decision with a different perspective. And then by reimprinting, this belief that say, at two months of age or former four years old, or whatever, we re imprint, we make a new decision here, it creates kind of a guest salt, in the sense of all the events on the line of time of somebody’s life will get recontextualize in light of this new awareness.

Debra Muth 34:43
So the person doesn’t necessarily have to know when this this belief or thought got imprinted. We can just go back and we can find it.

Catherine Gagnon 34:52
Exactly. And I work a lot with the subconscious mind and I tell people you know, your conscious mind will want to bring it to effect Your memory or we’ll just put the conscious mind on a chair next to you so that we can really giving it given an iPad or something to distract us. And that we can really work with your subconscious mind and trust it because all of the memories that we have are imprinted into the subconscious mind. And, you know, I like to bring it back to the body where the subconscious mind or the seat of intuition is like your gut feeling, you know, like the gut, is the first structure to be formed when we’re a fetus. Yeah, the so the gut has all of your earliest memories know being formed as a human and all of this information gets absorbed, we know that the gut has as many neurons as the brain of a dog. And a dog is intelligent, you know, you tell him Go fetch my newspaper, and they’ll come back or the dog knows when you’re happy or when you’re not. And, and so there’s that kind of intelligence that is seated in our in our gut. And I mean, I’m not the one saying it, it’s yeah, you’ve probably heard that before. So the subconscious mind is a beautiful thing to work with. Because once you understand how promo programmable it is, then it’s like a computer. And it’s like, wow, not only it’s reprogrammable, with the aligned program that you want now for, let’s say, being having a better financial health, you know, not losing your money, being able to invest in things that will grow, you know, and reprogram your, you know, the subconscious mind for relationships to stop repeating the same pattern stop and challenging the same. toxic relationships are people were takers, and you’re a giver. And you’re giving everything until you’ve got this self sacrificing prophecy that. So we definitely can reprogram these beliefs. And in a way, when I work with people with Lyme, or any chronic illness or any situation, I go and reprogram the subconscious beliefs anyways, because these subconscious beliefs are creating stress. Yeah, and they’re creating stress in the psychology. And they’re creating stress in the body. And we’ve all felt the kind of, you know, stress that let’s say, you meet somebody, and then things are going well and talking relationship wise, and then all of a sudden, this person cheats on you. And it’s the third one to do that. And then you feel this gutting, you know, it’s, and that’s an enormous stress for the body and the mind. And it stems from beliefs that we’re holding on in the subconscious mind. So I really believe in working with the body and mind together, to bring to bring a whole new level of wholeness and healing.

Debra Muth 38:01
That is such a wonderful thing. And I’m not just saying that, because I’ve experienced that myself. And for me, I didn’t get truly better until I started understanding and learning shamanic healing, which is very similar to what you’re talking about. And getting rid of some of those past beliefs and those past injuries that have happened to me in my subconscious that I didn’t know about. And when I started to be able to release those things, I started to be able to change my, my own inner self. For many years, I was very angry, very upset and distrustful of the communities and the, you know, the medical system, because of what they had done to me and what I’ve watched them do to so many other people. And it wasn’t until I started working on healing that part of it that I could recognize and say, you know, we only are as good as what we know. And we have to be able to forgive the people in the other medical realm that we work with, because they don’t know what they don’t know. And we didn’t know what we didn’t know until we learned it. Yeah. And you can say that all day long. But if you don’t really feel that in your soul, and in your being there, just words. And so it made a huge difference for me when I started doing this kind of work as well for me to heal as a person as a victim of the health system, as a practitioner who was always taking on everyone else’s illnesses, which happens a lot to us. And so it this can be a really fantastic way of healing the body without having to relive the trauma of what happened to put it there in the first place.

Catherine Gagnon 39:45
Yes, and I love what you’re saying, Dr. Dan, because you went from a state of victimhood. Why did they do this to me, you know, to a state of taking full responsibility for your health and say, hey, you know, I recognize that everybody He is trying to do their best and you don’t know what you don’t know. And I can forgive that. And yet, I’m going to take my health in my hands and go on my own journey, and bring this deeper healing to myself. So congratulation because that’s, I feel that the, the most crucial step for somebody to take is to go from victimhood to captain of their ship. Yeah. And in a way the illness is gifting us that when we choose to embrace that, and I’ve seen from just being in Lyme disease forums, many of them on social media for many years, I see the people who are still stuck, you know, five years later in this same patterns, they are in victim mode. You know, they’re they’re blaming the system, they’re blaming doctors, they’re blaming this or blaming that. And the people who are moving forward and healing are the people that are taking full responsibility in their hands. And it’s, you know, it’s, it’s not condescending, but it isn’t, there’s a common denominator there. And the moment when we decide to step out of victimhood into, okay, this is happening for me, not to me. Alright, what can I do to get better and listen to my own intuition, my own guidance, that tells me, you know, kind of follow the crumbs? And in a way, that’s a lot of what you did. And what I did is, yeah, you’re following the things you’re opening yourself up. And when you’re asking the right questions, if you’re asked a question, why did this happen to me, your subconscious mind wants to give you, it wants to make your right so it’s gonna find reasons why this is happening to you, it’s gonna create circumstances in your life to make you right. See, that’s why it’s happening to us. Yeah, this is again, happening to versus if you ask the question, well, how can I start making forward progress and heal myself day by day, and in such a way that I can feel the energy coming back in my body, I can feel the expansion, I can feel I can do more? More things? That’s a different question. And that’s when law of attraction or the universe is gonna be like, Oh, now we’re talking. Okay. We’re gonna put people circumstances synchronicities on your path, that you need to listen to that and kind of follow the breadcrumbs and be like, Oh, what about this? Oh, what about that? Oh, and then one thing leads to the next and you’re finding your answers and your solutions and your are getting better?

Debra Muth 42:34
Absolutely. Absolutely. Catherine, this is such a great conversation, we could go all day. I love this stuff. How do people reach out to you and connect with you if they’re finding that they have some of these things that are stuck, and they want to move them?

And this is really an opportunity for us to see if if we’d be a good fit to work together. But it’s really a transformational session in the sense of we uncover what’s been holding you back or, or slowing you down from, you know, getting better. And we uncover a lot of the subconscious mindsets, and attitudes that are really pulling the rug under under your feet literally. And we create a vision for what your life with more energy, more vitality, or heal what it looks like. And by the way, that’s where the treasure lies in the law of attraction, which is creating that vision.
