The Deep

After 2 years of hosting The Deep and holding space for others, I'm ready to share with you one of the traumas that I lived through. When I was younger, I became a victim of domestic violence. I was manipulated, isolated, physically and sexually abused until I didn't know who I was anymore. But I got out. Somehow. And this is my story.Sean Szeps holds this conversation. Someone I trust and tell all my secrets to.Please note. During this chat I may sound guarded or at times unemotional. I know that this is still a trauma response. Because of legal reasons I can't reveal the identity of my abuser so some things need to stay private. It makes this a difficult conversation because I can't share everything that I want to. What I am doing is sharing the full extent of this abusive relationship for the first time ever.Content warning; This episode discusses domestic abuse, physical and sexual abuse, and suicide. episode 6: The Gossip Guy

Today I speak to Jonathon Moran also known as JMo and... Australia's biggest gossip columnist. Over the years I have had my time with JMo - sometimes happy, sometimes disgruntled at the angle the stories he has written about me have taken. Today I ask him all the questions about one of the world's most controversial jobs. Who hates him, how awkward it is, does he sleep at night after writing something horrible about someone. This episode has so many levels - just like JMo. The most surprising part is who JMo is at the core. The trauma he has endured and his daily mental health battle make for another unique conversation, one you might not be expecting
