A science company says the Government is spitting in the wind with its saliva testing roll-out.
The Auditor-General has expressed serious concerns with it including conflicts of interest and a lack of procurement plan.
The 50-million dollar testing contract was awarded to the Asia Pacific Health Group.
Rako Science develops saliva tests which have been rolled out in private work places.
Executive Director Leon Grice told Mike Hosking they have raised issues throughout the process.
“We just didn’t stop asking questions and doing Official Information Act requests because we felt there needed to be accountability.”
He said his company couldn't dwell on not getting the contract for too long.
