Gary Stead: Dressing room 'hurting' after T20 World Cup final loss
New Zealand might be a candidate for the most versatile cricket team in the world, having made the 20-over and 50-over World Cup finals and won the Test Championship, but that's of little solace to coach Gary Stead this morning.
Australia have eased to their maiden T20 title, chasing 173 to defeat the Black Caps by eight wickets with seven balls to spare in Dubai.
Man of the match Mitch Marsh led the way with 77 not out off 50 balls, countering Black Caps captain Kane Williamson's 85 off 48.
Stead's been in contemplation mode since on the Mike Hosking Breakfast.
