During Jacinda Ardern’s visit to Auckland, she visited a JMP Engineering factory and then had a meet-up at the Consulate General of Samoa.
She also had "informal meetings" with the hospitality sector but the Restaurant Association said they knew nothing about that.
One person who did walk around with the Prime Minister was Employers and Manufacturers Association Chief Executive Brett O'Riley.
He told Mike Hosking they were asked to organise a visit to a business that had been impacted by Covid.
“I understand that the PM is coming back again reasonably shortly and hopefully we’ll get the opportunity to visit more businesses.”
He said there were positive discussions yesterday about opening up and getting back to business.
