Perry Rush: Principals' Federation President fears schools may be under-resourced if unvaccinated teachers leave their jobs
Fears our schools will be under-resourced if many unvaccinated teachers end up leaving their jobs.
All education staff in contact with children must have their first Covid jab by the end of today.
If they don't, unvaccinated staff will be barred from school grounds.
Principals' Federation President Perry Rush told Mike Hosking with staff also expected to be fully vaxed by January 1st, there are concerns many will end up leaving the profession.
“We don’t know whether we have sufficient teaching resource out there to back the absence of these teachers in face-to-face context.”
