Auckland's mayor says he will participate in good faith in a new working group to address the country's water reforms.
The joint working group made up of 20 mayors has been set up following backlash over the Government's Three Waters mandates.
Phil Goff told Mike Hosking the plans need to be changed in a significant way.
“There needs to be democratic accountability and the way you do that is to elected representatives of the people on council.”
Goff said Auckland feels aggrieved - as its council-controlled Watercare Services are way ahead of everyone else.
