Clare Government Senator Denies Rift Between Coalition Parties
It comes as negotiations are continuing on emission ceilings under the climate action plan. Agriculture will have a target to cut emissions between 22 and 30 per cent, with a row in the coalition over what the final number will be. Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway doesn't want any cut to the national herd saying farmers can't carry the load when there may be other ways to reach targets, with clear thinking.
