A West Clare Councillor has dismissed calls for holiday homes to be excluded from the Government's universal electricity credits plan as "perfection being the enemy of the good". Up to 62,000 holiday home owners across the country will receive three energy credits totalling 600 euro between now and early next year. It means 37 million euro will go to the owners of second homes. Kilkee Fianna Fáil Councillor Cillian Murphy and Fine Gael Councillor from Lisdoonvarna, Joe Garrihy have been speaking on Clare FM's Morning Focus.
