Extra Road Checkpoints Set For Clare This Bank Holiday Weekend
Clare's Crime Prevention Officer is warning drivers to 'slow down and maintain an appropriate speed' over the next number of days. Extra Garda personnel are to be seen across this county's roads over the Bank Holiday weekend, along with speeding checks on sections of the road network where speed-related collisions are common. Fines for speeding doubled from 80 to 160 euro earlier this week. Clare Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Triona Brooks says people should allow plenty of time for their journey.
