On a flight from Canada to Dubai, to celebrate an early Christmas with my daughter, I started listening to the Audible version of Ed Mylett’s book; The Power of One More,
I was intrigued by his confidence that we can use a part of our own brains, known as our Reticular Activating System - for ease of conversation, known as our RAS - to fulfill the vision we have for our life.
Even before I knew of my RAS’ existence, I was leveraging the power of my RAS, as shared in a BLOG and true story of how Christmas Catalogs and wishes for a better life taught me how to create powerful vision boards.

Medium contributor, Tobias van Schneider wrote:
"The Reticular Activating System (RAS) is a bundle of nerves at our brainstem that filters out unnecessary information, so the important stuff gets through. . .
When you look at it this way, The Law of Attraction doesn’t seem so mystical. Focus on the bad things and you will invite negativity into your life. Focus on the good things and they will come to you, because your brain is seeking them out. It’s not magic, it’s your Reticular Activating System influencing the world you see around you."

Imagine my surprise as I realized this was not the first time I heard about how the brain is a tool designed to help me get exactly what I want and I was in the audience of this TEDX Salon; Unlocking The Screen of Your Mind: WYTAYBA by Blaine Oelkers
All of this helps to explain a lot of the unexplainable in my Baby Boomer, farm girl’s life so far! The Law of Attraction isn’t just hype. It’s a powerful force I can control with conscious thinking and visioning.
