Ennis Superintendent Warns People Of 'Opportunist' Post-Christmas Burglary Crimes

The Superintendent of Ennis Garda Station is warning people to keep valuable Christmas presents locked safely away over the post-festive period. More than 800 million euro is estimated to have been spent across the country on gifts this week. Burglaries and thefts in the Clare Garda Division were also up significantly in 2022 compared to 2021's numbers, with a number of these crimes being described as 'opportunist'. Superintendent John Galvin from Ennis Garda Station believes people should refrain from posting valuable Christmas gifts on social media where possible.
