The Lakers Get a Badly Needed Win in Orlando Behind (Tweet Deleter) LeBron James and... Patrick Beverley?

LeBron James entered Tuesday's game in Orlando with the NBA's longest active streak of scoring 30+ points in a game. That came to an end for the Lakers, in the best way possible. James was excellent against the Magic, but he had lots of help in LA's 129-110 win. The Lakers just didn't need to be carried in quite the same way, and for one night at least, that's good news.

Particularly given that the Lakers play again tonight in Miami.

Against the Magic, who entered having won nine-of-ten, the Lakers had six players reach double digits, including Troy Brown Jr. (who exploded for 15, his first double-digit performance since November) and 21 from Thomas Bryant (who continues to play well in part by staying in his lane - taking 3-pointers, rim running and leaning into the pick-and-roll.

And perhaps most significantly? Patrick Beverley continues his run of quiet good play, reaching double digits for the fourth time in the last six games. For the month, Beverley is shooting nearly 40% from 3-point range. He is, in short, doing now what the Lakers hoped when they traded for him late in the summer.

It makes a huge difference. If the Lakers are going to survive, it can't just be James, or James and Russell Westbrook, who was outstanding Tuesday. Guys like Brown and Beverley, who haven't been good for much of the season, need to be.

Meanwhile, and interesting comment was left on the LOL YouTube page, asking about the future of Joey and Jesse Buss. Should they be elevated to positions of authority?

HOSTS: Andy and Brian Kamenetzky

SEGMENT 1: LeBron plays great, but doesn't have to do all the heavy lifting as the Lakers win.

SEGMENT 2: What has changed for Pat Bev.

SEGMENT 3: LeBron deletes a tweet, and discussing the other Buss family members and whether they should have more power.
