Sometimes, I think I can be a bit silly with my guests. But Ashlie didn't seem to mind, and had fun with the silliness She's a very talented actress, with a chameleon's style on playing different types of roles. She's definitely a face to watch for in the near future. (And if she was your English teacher in the past, you probably knew all that stuff anyway, right? You probably wrote it in your yearbook already, you there in the hat. Not the cowboy hat, though...
I probably say this a million times, but here's an actor to watch. (And of course, I'm right a million times, but that's beside the point...) I really enjoyed talking to Reece. Behind the scenes fact, after the interview ended, we talked for 20 minutes about alien life forms and black holes. I think maybe someone should casthim as a philosopher and let him ad-lib his lines, because what he had to say was so fascinating. Reece told me that between acting gigs, he tends bar...
Who was it who said," If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life"?. Or something like that. I enjoy doing this podcast, but it's work that i don't get paid for. And then there's car insurance. Oops, sorry, thought I was writing to my lawyer, Dirty Louie. Anyway, just one listen to "The Stacking Benjamins Show", you can tell right off the bat that Joe and his crew truly enjoy what they are doing for their listeners. It was so much fun getting to know Joe...
Six Degrees of Separation time, Rebels! Adeena grew up in the same town as previous guest Richard Wilmore's idol, Rosie O'Donnell! ( I don't think she can get her on his show, either.) And furthermore, I've never been a guest on Rosie's show! (Actually, I don't know what that has to do with anything, but I never said I was good at this "Six Degrees" thing.)If you check out Adeena's book, as well as her blogs on her website, you'll get a feel for what a talented writer she is...
It was such a pleasure to speak to an actual member of the Podcasting Hall of Fame. I don't think I could ever be inducted, because it would be followed with a few asterisks and a disclaimer of, "After a few beers, it seemed like a good idea." But Dave Jackson is truly a guy who gets this medium, and has guided so many folks on their way to podcasting success...
You didn't think I'd forget, did you? It's been a while, but it's necessary to take a minute or 19 to say thanks to everyone who gave of their time to be on the show. (This is The Sherpa, saying "Thanks".) We don't often get time to show our gratitude, and in fact, some never do. But given the amount of listens that this podcast has gotten since starting almost 3 years ago, it's important to do so, in these crazy times. Also, have a listen to what I'm hoping to do, with your help...
