Dank dem #Japanuary gibt’s mal wieder einen Anime in der Besprechung: “Weathering With You – Das Mädchen, das die Sonne berührte” (2019) von Anime-Ikone Makato Shinkai
Wir sprechen über Stil und Themen von “Weathering with You” und stoßen dabei immer wieder auch auf Shinkai’s “Your Name” (2016), der ähnlich, doch ganz anders und insgesamt auch etwas greifbarer für uns war.
Im #Japanuary werden übrigens 8 japanische Filme im Januar geschaut und auf Bluesky und Co. besprochen. Ganz so viele haben wir nicht geschafft, aber wir sind froh nach 2021 endlich wieder mal eine Folge nachzuschieben. #Japanuary-Spezial
Der #Japanuary kennt kein Ende, denn auch Basti will was dazu beitragen. Und so begaben wir uns auf eine kleine Reise in die abstruse Welt des Yugo Sakamoto (große Hoffnung für den Japanischen Actionfilm!) und seiner Auftragskiller.
Wir sahen: A Janitor (über einen Hausmeister/Bodyguard/Yakuza), Baby Assassins (über zwei durchgeknallte Auftragskillerinnen) und Yellow Dragon’s Village (über ein mordendes Dorf). Nebenbei wird noch ein wenig über seine anderen Filme geredet und abschließend noch etwas gelabert. Spaß!

Diese Folge nehmen zum dritten Mal am Japanuary Teil, einem Projekt der deutschen Film-Blog/Podcast/Twitter-Szene, bei dem man innerhalb des Januars acht japanische Filme schaut und darüber bloggt oder podcastet, organisiert von SchönerDenken (www.schoener-denken.de).
Jörn und Patrick haben sich jeweils vier Filme ausgesucht, und noch zusätzlich zwei von der Auswahl des anderen geguckt. Dieses Mal decken wir wieder ein breites Spektrum des Japankinos ab, mit besonderem Fokus auf (vielleicht etwas weniger bekannten) Anime-Werken an denen große Namen wie Katsuhiro Otomo, Mamoru Oshii, Satoshi Kon, Masaaki Yuasa oder Studio Ghibli beteiligt waren.
