Deutschland tut sich schwer mit der Digitalisierung: Der Ausbau der digitalen Infrastruktur geht nur schleppend voran, die Politik kann kaum Schritt halten mit den rasant wachsenden Herausforderungen der digitalen Gesellschaft, und wirtschaftlich sind vor allem die USA und China enteilt. Deutschland kann den Rückstand aufholen, doch dafür benötigt es gewaltige Anstrengungen seitens Gesellschaft, Politik, Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft – und Unternehmen, die Innovationen zum Durchbruch verhelfen.

Wir verschwenden eine immense Menge an Ressourcen für Dinge, die wir mitunter nur für wenige Minuten brauchen und dann wegwerfen. (Plastik-)Müll landet auf der Straße, in der Umwelt und in den Meeren. Wir kennen das Problem. Wir wissen, dass sich das System ändern muss. Wir möchten darüber reden wie das gehen kann, wem es schon gelungen ist und welche Hürden es noch zu überwinden gibt.

Gerade in der politischen Netzdebatte gibt es sehr viel Humor - er ist auch ein wichtiges Instrument im Meinungsaustausch. Doch was macht Humor so schlagkräftig? Und wie können wir ihn als Tool der Aufklärung und zur Verteidigung der Menschenwürde nutzen?

Social-Media-Leute, YouTuber und Influencer drängen auf den Markt und die Künstlersozialkasse prüft seit Jahren, wie mit ihnen umzugehen ist: Wann sind sie Künstler*innen, wann können sie die spottbillige Kranken- und Rentenversicherung über die KSK in Anspruch nehmen (nur 35 € Mindestbeitrag für die Krankenkasse!)? Der Workshop informiert über die wichtigsten Vorteile der KSK und stellt den Stand der Dinge dar - wer darf rein und wer (noch) nicht?

How can we function as interdisciplinary creatives in the face of legislature and technology that increasingly constrain our ability to communicate through and survive off of aesthetic mediums? We take the standpoint of the independent artist, the tech expert, the die-hard listener, and the revolutionary engineer in our panel discussion.

In recent years there have been concentrated attempts at increasing online Arabic content focusing on topics related to gender, sex and sexuality in the region. Although still limited compared to other Arabic language topics online, initiatives are actively producing multi-media digital content and are using various social media platforms to engage their readers with mixed results. This panel will bring in a diverse set of perspectives and experiences from different initiatives in the region.

Und hat gezeigt: Wissensvermittlung und digitales Storytelling sind ein "perfect match".

Governments and cooperations are abusing the new culture of tl;dr. A culture that can be described as the acceptance that terms and conditions of any kind are too complex and too long for us to deal with. A culture of acceptance, that we have no choice but to trust the ones that represent us. But we are now realizing that there are serios costs to tl;dr as the modus operandi. So where do we go from here? And more importantly, are we ready to do what it takes to reverse this course?
