episode 1: Get your passport ready! It's Travel Snacks time with Allison Sharpe!

Welcome to my debut, and sorry for the delay! What better way to kick off a podcast than with a travel theme with Travel Snacks host Allison Sharpe? Allison discusses her podcast, how to make travel better, and her famous social media family, among several topics. Trust me, you WILL learn something from her. Plus, Jim the podcast sherpa (That's me, your host!) fills you in on what to expect on the show and mentions a few other travel podcasts to check out, in addition to Travel Snacks...

episode 2: Now We're Cookin' !!! Kc Gonzalez (of Chef Salty Pork) Has a Seat at the Sherpa's table

Welcome to The Sherpa Sheet! We made it to Episode 2! It was a pleasure speaking with Kc Gonzalez, who was also a big help. In this episode, we talk about food, cooking, the restaurant biz, air frying for beginners, his "mystery restaurant", and cooking boogers. (Just listen, you'll get it)  Once again, I learned some stuff.  Another step in my evolution as a podcaster!

Plus, the debut of Sherpa Suggestions...

episode 3: Communicating about Communication with David Battaglia, Host of "Perception Is Reality"

Welcome to the Sherpa Sheet! This time around it's a (bit more serious than usual) chat with David Battaglia about his podcast, "Perception Is Reality." David was a pleasure to speak with, and (I'll say it again for Episode 3), a big help. Check his podcast out and notice how tactfully he handles what could be uncomfortable conversations for many of us...

episode 4: On a date? Stop what you're doing and do it better, after you hear Kealy Ryder, host of "Dating Talk With Kealy" !!

We'll start this week's Sherpa Sheet with a behind the scenes story. The interview with Kealy was conducted on a video app. Kealy was concerned about how she'd look on video sans makeup. I just use audio so, no worries. Trust me, she looked better without makeup than I did WITH makeup. And I was in a prom gown, With swim fins . When I was dating, Tinder referred to firewood and not a hookup app  (Yet, with either one, I'd worry about who was holding the axe...

episode 5: Podcast 101! Jim the Podcast Sherpa Flies Solo, and Manages to Knock Over the Drink Cart....

Welcome to the Sherpa Sheet for Episode 5. I got some new listeners this past week who are new to the world of podcasts. So , we take a sneak peek behind the curtain of Too Many Podcasts!...and realize that this curtain needs to be vacuumed. Ugh. I explain what a podcast is and how to subscribe, and how to unsubscribe , once you realize you've made a grave judgement in error...

episode 6: Deanne Goodman of " In Happier News" is bringing positivity to the Sherpa Chalet!

It's a week about positivity! Let's start this week's Sherpa Sheet with a story. When I went to check out Deanne's podcast, and I read about its origin, 2 words came to mind... instant fascination. And after hearing some of her episodes, I said to myself, "This is someone I'm going to enjoy interviewing. ' And my Sherpa instincts were spot on. Here's a person who can juggle so much in her life and and keep up the positivity she shares in her podcasts...

episode 7: Susannah Lewis of "Thornvale" talks RPG, Monsters, Magic, and Marriage!

First things first. Please don't confuse The Sherpa Sheet with The Mueller Report. We're the one that's not redacted.  I have to confess...I really didn't know much about RPG's until I started listening to Thornvale. Granted, I grew up in the era of  D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) but I never really followed it. So, thank you, Susannah, for explaining it, and recommending other podcasts in this genre...

episode 8: Dan Young of "Total Wellness Radio" supplements us with useful health information!

As the old saying goes, "You gotta get up early in the morning ....to get a podcast interview with Dan Young!" Or something like that...

Great early morning chat with Dan this week. He tells us what inspired him to get into the healthcare field, and about his work as a clinician. We discuss how pharmaceutical and natural medicine can peacefully coexist. And, if you think that supplements aren't checked by the FDA, you might have to rethink that...

episode 9: Michael Wood gives us 366 Reasons to enjoy the "1 Year Audio Bible Experience"

Hmmmm....they say you're not supposed to discuss religion in mixed company. But after interviewing Michael Wood, I would think differently. Here's a talented guy, who wears many hats, who uses his talents to present a DAILY podcast of Bible passages. Regardless of what your religion is, his podcast is a well-produced broadcast that you will enjoy, and get a better understanding of the Bible...
