Too Many Podcasts! (Exploring podcasts w/ Jim the Podcast Sherpa)

As Brian would say," People! People! Here we are in Season 10!" But trust me, he'd say it a lot cooler than I typed it. It's always fun to kick off a season with someone who's got Brian's kind of enthusiasm. It reminds me of me when I first started out. But just not as tall or charming. And about 10 other things I'd be put in jail for if I wrote. So never mind. I've already forgotten about me...

In the acting world, I certainly wouldn't refer to Jason as "new to the scene", but he was new to podcast interviews at the time of this recording. So, I made sure to save the interrogation questions for another interview. ("Can you recognize this man, sir?" That's George Washington." "And how do you know him?" Well, you are holding up a dollar bill.....") He might be chained to a block in a DUI commercial, but Jason isn't chained to any specific form of acting...

Rebels, I really did have laryngitis at the time this episode was assembled! (Ok, you can stop cheering, you with the hat.) A special thanks to Super Fan Mike for his guest intro and outro (Even though it was kind of recorded under duress. The Sherpa-Lu Studio Voiceover Bots can be a pretty demanding bunch.) Fortunately, I got to record the interview with Dave before my voice was gone. He's a really interesting guy, with, as you can tell, a great sense of humor, and a song in his heart...

Welcome to another episode of "The Laryngitis Sessions"! A very special thanks to Lord Mr. Bruce for handling  the intro/outro duties this time! Unfortunately, Nick's wife Caz couldn't join us (she was also part of the abandoned project referenced in the interview), but Nick knows how to take up the slack. As you'll hear, movies have certainly played an important part in his life. And he talks about them like a true fan, as he does on his podcast...

To be honest, I never really knew too much about the Titanic in great detail. I tried to re-enact it at a nearby pier, but as you know, my Leo DiCaprio impression sounds more like Spongebob Squarepants, which does make it kind of interesting.  But, imagine being Bill and getting to view the wreckage up close and personal. You'll hear in his story about how the crew actually benefited from his presence on their ship...

One of my long-planned tasks finally realized! I've been chatting on the Wisdom app for quite some time now, and have met some incredible people along the way. Now, I finally get to share some of my conversations with them, with you. There are wayyyy more files I'll have to go through to dig up even more stuff, but this is a good start, so expect some more volumes in the future...

For someone that you might recognize specifically as a celebrity, Barry has certainly had his share of unplanned celebrity encounters. I don't get to have many in-person encounters. For some odd reason, they always seem to have a pre-written restraining order...

I think it was inevitable, Rebels. Larry Hankin, a guy with almost 200 movie and tv roles (and Oscar nominee) and just as many stories behind those roles throughout a 6-decade career (and then some!) is capturing those moments in a book. If you caught the first two-parter we had in March 2020 (Season 3??!!), you can hear a sampling of some of those stories. I think with this two-parter,I got to know him a little better...

Okay, so not only do you get the conclusion to the interview with Larry Hankin, you also get to hear the voice of the lovely Sherpa Bride! (And you said she didn't exist, you with the hat. Well,in hindsight,I shouldn't have said she goes to a different school...) But Larry , as usual, provides some really interesting responses. And I agree 100% that he's a storyteller. And you'll get to read those stories in his new book. So go buy it...
